Front yard

We finished landscaping the front yard in July 2007. I'm just finally getting around to updating the blog!

The first three photos are before - the last three are after.

 

The Yard - After

We have missed our yard so much, and the timing of it's completion couldn't be better. With the arrival of springtime and Maxwell - we are so happy to have the space back!

This is our backyard post-construction, and pre-landscaping. YUCK!!

Baby's Room

Last week, we painted the baby's room and set up the furniture.

Our Studio

Painting is complete, and today we were able to clean out our studio - and get ready to move in. Clean up of all the construction dust, drywall, and paint was a lot more work than we thought it would be. But we're ready to move things in tomorrow!

Next on the list will be to fix the backyard and complete the landscaping around the studio.

I plan to use the "Casa 224" pages to post other household projects that we'll do.

Our washer/dryer is in the kitchen. Once we move them out to the studio, we'll be doing a little work in the kitchen. And of course we'll be painting the baby's room...

Here are some pictures of the final product. We still have a few things to finish on our "punch list" but we're still calling it done!

Color

Painting is almost done. It looks gorgeous!

 

Ready for paint

Here are a couple of pictures with everything cleared out - and the tub installed - before painting. You can see the acid washed floors which are amber/coffee in color.

Time to pick out the paint!

Almost There...

The interior trim is complete. The recessed lighting is in. The tub arrived!

The tub, bathroom fixtures and laundry need to be installed - and we'll paint next week. After that - I think we'll finally be able to move in!

Once we move in - we can paint and decorate the baby's room.

Carriage Doors

Today, the carriage doors were installed. We had them custom made from a carriage door company in Washington State. We will stain them when we paint the rest of the building.

We're pretty happy with the way they turned out!
